Striving for focus

Focus has been my theme so far this year. Whether it’s a project I’m working on or a conversation I’m having, I have been doing my best to intentionally focus all of my attention in the present moment.

This has helped give me space and reduce excess in my life. By limiting distractions that compete with my concentration, I can go deeper in the moment with what’s right in front of me.

Here’s what I’m discovering so far:

There is only so much time in a day

Sometimes it’s hard to resist the lure of putting in a little effort in many things for the sake of saving time. The funny thing is, I find that I have even more time to spend on something I find meaningful when I’m not multitasking.

There are many pockets of free time scattered throughout the day to decide whether you want to spend it poking around aimlessly online, or dedicating it to something that’s more meaningful to you. Read More
